Directional Melons
Directional Melons changes how melons and pumpkins placed by players are oriented, and how the stems that grow them attach.
What it does
Directional Melons adds directional variants of melon and pumpkin blocks, so a placed block can face a chosen side instead of always appearing the same way. Stems are adjusted so the fruit they produce is placed in a predictable direction.
The mod runs on the client and on the server, so both sides need it for the placement behavior to match. It is published for Fabric, across 22 release versions 1.20 – 26.1.2, and the code is released under the MIT License, which makes it open source.

Directional melon blocks
Melons and pumpkins can be placed facing a chosen direction rather than in a single fixed orientation.
Oriented stems
Stems place their melons and pumpkins in a set direction, so a farm grows fruit that is aligned as the player arranged it.
Directional pumpkins
Pumpkins follow the same directional placement as melons, so both crops can be laid out consistently.
