Dio's Pressure Plates

by AlasDiablo

Dio's Pressure Plates, a Fabric and NeoForge mod, adds 21 new pressure plates that each respond to a different kind of entity.

FabricNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.21.1 – 26.2

What it does

The mod adds a set of pressure plates for varied redstone uses, inspired by the ObsidiPlates and Myrathi mods. Each new plate reacts to a specific group: the Obsidian Pressure Plate only activates when a player steps on it, the Mossy Cobblestone Pressure Plate reacts to living entities other than players, the Netherrack Pressure Plate only to enemies, and the Dirt Pressure Plate only to passive entities. A Silent variant also joins the set, and it makes no sound when stepped on, unlike the light and heavy weighted plates.

Dio's Pressure Plates requires Dio's Lib, which must be installed alongside it on Fabric or NeoForge. The server and every player need the mod installed. Builds exist for 1.21.1, 1.21.8 and 26.2, and the code is not public beyond the published source, with all rights reserved.

Key features

  1. Player-only plate

The Obsidian Pressure Plate activates only when a player steps onto it, which suits player-triggered circuits.

  2. Entity-filtered plates

Mossy Cobblestone, Netherrack and Dirt plates each respond to one category of living entity, so mobs can be sorted by type.

  3. Silent variant

A Silent Pressure Plate triggers redstone without making a sound when stepped on, unlike the weighted plates.

  4. Twenty-one plates

The mod adds 21 new pressure plates in total, covering several materials and triggers.

Use cases

Entity-specific traps

A plate that reacts only to enemies or only to passive mobs can separate threats from livestock in a farm or defense.

Quiet redstone

The Silent Pressure Plate lets a hidden trigger work without giving away its position through sound.

Who it’s for: Builders and redstone players who need pressure plates that react to particular entity types rather than to anything that steps on them.
