Dimension Link
by mahmudindev
With Dimension Link, a portal to the Nether or the End leads to a separate world that the server owner can configure and link to the overworld.
What it does
Dimension Link creates portal links between dimensions, so a server can run custom world sets, each with its own Nether and End dimensions reached through the normal vanilla portal. The default setup links the overworld, Nether and End of each world automatically, and the links can be changed for specific pairs with the auto link feature. The mod only changes how portals behave, such as the destination dimension, and does not create new portal blocks.
The mod is configured through datapacks. A world folder under the datapack namespace holds a JSON file that sets how linking and the exit portal behave. Exit portal behavior is configurable, and the end portal can respawn the player rather than send them to the exit portal, which keeps passengers in a vehicle through the portal. Fabric API is required on Fabric. Dimension Fixer and World Portal are optional and add features when present. The mod runs on the server only, so players join without installing it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.20.1, 1.21 – 1.21.11, and 26.1 – 26.2, under All rights reserved.
Key features
Cross-dimension portal links
Portals connect the overworld, Nether and End of each custom world set, so visits stay within that set.
Separate Nether and End
Each world set can have its own Nether and End dimensions, accessed through the vanilla portal.
Exit portal behavior
The exit portal can be set to respawn the player instead of acting as a plain exit, and the setting is configurable.
Datapack configuration
Linking is defined with JSON files in a datapack, and specific custom links can be added to the auto link feature.
