Dimension Daddy
by HalfHeart
Dimension Daddy lets a server operator switch the Overworld, Nether and End on or off, and back up or restore each dimension's world data through commands.
What it does
Each of the three dimensions can be enabled or disabled independently by a server operator. When a dimension is disabled, its portal blocks are cancelled, and a player who tries to enter receives a message in the action bar explaining why. Everything is driven through commands under a single DimensionDaddy root. Status can be listed by anyone, while changing a dimension requires operator privileges.
Backups copy the actual chunk, entity and point-of-interest data of each dimension, together with its enabled or disabled flag. Restore brings a dimension back to a previous backup, and a reset returns it to the untouched first-generation state of the seed. The mod takes a one-time Initial Backup automatically the first time it runs, so the world is always recoverable to its original state. Restore accepts the latest backup id, and the result is reported directly in game once it finishes applying. Installation requires Fabric API.
Key features
Per-dimension toggles
The Overworld, Nether and End can each be turned on or off, and a disabled dimension cancels its relevant portal blocks.
Real world backups
Backups include region, entity and point-of-interest data for each dimension, so a restore reverts the actual world content.
Initial backup
A one-time backup of the untouched world is captured automatically on the first run, before any restore or reset can apply.
Reports after restore
A restore or reset shows in game what was applied once it has finished.
Single command tree
All actions sit under one root, and dimension names and backup ids can be completed with the Tab key.

Works on dedicated servers, singleplayer worlds, and…
