Dicely
Dicely lets a player roll dice from a chat command, with the number of dice, sides and rolls set in the command.
What it does
Dicely is a command-based dice utility for Fabric. A player types the dice roll command with the number of sides and the amount of dice, and the result is shown in chat. The number of rolls is optional and defaults to 1. The mod supports two equivalent commands, so either spelling produces the same roll, and the number of dice can be set in a single command.
Because the roll is handled on the client, Dicely is client-side only: a player who installs it can roll dice on any server or in single-player without the server having the mod. The mod is published for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.21.8 and 1.21.11 on Fabric, and the latest file, 1.1.0+1.21.11, targets 1.21.11 and was released on 2026-01-12. Fabric Loader 0.18.4 and Fabric API are required.
The source code and the issue tracker are public. The code is released under CC0 1.0 Universal, so it is open source. The author describes the project as still in an early stage and notes that occasional bugs and rough edges can appear.
Key features
One-command rolls
A single command rolls a chosen number of dice with a chosen number of sides and reports the result in chat.
Two equivalent commands
The mod registers two commands that do the same thing, so a player can use whichever spelling is easier to remember.
Optional roll count
The number of rolls is optional and defaults to 1 when it is left out of the command.
Client-side operation
Rolls are computed on the client, so the mod needs no installation on the server.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
How it compares
Last Heart (HP Warning) is a Fabric mod for the client that uses versions 1.20.1 – 1.21.11 and is closed source under All rights reserved, so it does not share Dicely's open license. Copyshot is client-side only and open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, with builds for 1.18 – 1.21.3, which is an older range than Dicely's. ClipboardScreenshot is also client-side only and open source under the MIT License, with files for 1.21.5 – 26.1.2, and it covers the screenshot clipboard rather than dice.
