Crimsonite

by RossH121

Crimsonite adds a rare ore to deepslate layers of the world, giving miners a new material to find underground.

NeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.1

What it does

Crimsonite Ore generates in deepslate layers as a rare mineral. Players who break it with a stone pickaxe or better collect Crimsonite Shards, which are dropped when the ore is broken. Smelting those shards in a furnace produces gold ingots, so the ore works as a new source of gold in survival worlds.

The mod works on client and server, so both the server and every player need it installed. Files target NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1 only, with the 1.0.0 build published on 2026-03-04. The code is released under the MIT License and is open source, and the source code and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Rare ore in deepslate

Crimsonite Ore spawns in deepslate layers, making it a scarce find for players exploring underground.

  2. Crimsonite Shards

Breaking the ore drops Crimsonite Shards, the item the mod uses to produce gold ingots.

  3. Smelting to gold

Smelting Crimsonite Shards in a furnace yields gold ingots, so the ore doubles as a gold source.

  4. Stone pickaxe requirement

The ore needs at least a stone pickaxe to be broken, so it fits early to mid game progression.
