Creeper Backguard Continuation makes creepers explode when they can see a player within their field of view, on servers running Fabric.

What it does

The mod is a barebones reimplementation of Creeper Backguard, the idea credited to JuaanP, and reproduces the original behavior: a creeper that is hit or approached from behind by a player, and that can see a player within its field of view, detonates. Its code follows the same idea, with the author archiving the project if the original Creeper Backguard is updated to the latest release. Only the server needs to run it, so players join without installing anything.

Key features

  1. Detonation on sight

    Creepers explode once a player falls within their field of view.

  2. Client FOV in singleplayer

    Unlike the original, the mod reads the client's field of view in singleplayer instead of using a constant 90 degrees.

  3. Fixed view cone

    The detection cone spans 60 degrees horizontally and 60 degrees vertically, regardless of the environment.
