Create: Modular Tools

Tools are built from a head, handle and other tool modules, and each module carries its own stats that change the overall performance of the finished tool. Durability, attack speed, mining speed and attack damage are among the stats, and the full list appears in the tooltip while Shift is held. Some modules also add special features. Compatibility is limited by tool type, so a pickaxe head only fits a pickaxe, and the compatible types are listed in the same tooltip.

Custom tools can be formed with molds crafted at a Sand Bowl deployed by a Deployer. A mold is placed on the ground, then shaped by interacting with it while holding a vanilla modular tool or a tool module. Modules can be added to or removed from a mold, and an empty mold can be filled by pouring molten metal from a Spout. The mod depends on Create Fabric, which must be installed alongside it, and it runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is released under the MIT License and is open source.
