Create:Heat
by ffSupver
Create:Heat adds heat-handling blocks to the Create mod on NeoForge, letting a machine draw heat from a network of connected thermal blocks.
What it does
Thermal blocks transfer and store the heat energy that Create uses. A group of adjacent thermal blocks joins one network with a shared heat storage, and the maximum connection distance can be changed in the config. Heat stored in that network sets the state of the heating blocks below it, which swap between regular, super and super-heated states. A super-heated block damages entities that stand on it, in a way similar to magma.
The mod also lets machines be heated through a recipe. A block adjacent to the network meets a recipe input condition of type createheat:heat, and the block changes into another state once enough heat is available. Dragon Breath can be converted into heat, and data packs control how much heat each dragon type provides. Custom state-based heaters can be added through data packs too. Content appears only when the mod is installed.
The mod is published for NeoForge 1.21.1 and requires Create. It runs on the client and the server, so the server and every player need it. Optional support exists for AnvilCraft, IceAndFire Community Edition and PneumaticCraft: Repressurized. The code is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only.
Key features
Connected thermal blocks
Adjacent thermal blocks join a single network with one shared internal heat storage, up to a configurable distance.
Heating states
The heater's appearance switches among three states (regular, super, and super-heated) depending on how much heat the network holds.
Heat-driven block changes
A block next to the network changes into another state when a recipe's heat condition is met, consuming the heat.
Dragon Breath input
Dragon Breath converts into heat, and data packs set how much heat each dragon type provides.
