Crates Mod adds crate blocks for storage, in wood, reinforced and emerald variants that each differ in fragility and slot count.
What it does
Crate blocks are placed in the world to hold items, with three types so far: a wooden crate that burns and breaks under little force, a reinforced crate that resists fire and blasts, and an emerald crate with eight extra slots. The mod is meant to expand storage while staying close to vanilla behaviour, and the author says more types are planned. Forge and NeoForge builds cover 1.20.1 – 1.21.1, and the mod needs both the client and the server. The code is not open source; it is released under All rights reserved.
Files were first published on 2025-02-02 and last updated on 2025-07-24. The latest Forge build is 1.4.0 for 1.20.1, on the beta channel, and the latest NeoForge build is 1.5.2 for 1.21.1, also beta.
