CraftOres
by jetpacker06
CraftOres lets players craft Minecraft's ores from base stone blocks using balanced recipes, so ore becomes a resource to craft rather than only a block to dig up.
What it does
Players can craft ore blocks from the matching raw resources and a base stone block. Recipe costs are set so that crafting an ore is not prohibitive even with Fortune 3, and the resources required vary with each ore's typical output. Sample recipes include four raw iron, smelted, plus one stone or deepslate for one iron ore, and the remaining recipes can be checked in JEI. The mod runs server-side only, so the server needs it and players join without installing anything. It is published for Forge and NeoForge across 15 release versions, 1.18 – 1.21.1, and is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Ore block crafting
Each ore block can be crafted from its raw resources and a matching base stone block.
Balanced recipe costs
Costs scale with each ore's typical output, so crafting stays practical and mining still pays off.

What the author says
This mod allows the user to craft ore blocks using their respective resources and base stone blocks. The cost is balanced such that even with Fortune 3, the recipe costs too much to "craft, mine, repeat" profitably.
