Craftable honey bottles adds a crafting table recipe that turns honeycomb and glass bottles into honey bottles, giving players a second route besides filling bottles at a beehive.
What it does
Honey bottles can be crafted at a crafting table from 3 honeycomb and 1 glass bottle, which yields 1 honey bottle. Before this, the item came only from right-clicking a full beehive or a bee nest with an empty glass bottle. The recipe is added alongside the vanilla method, so nothing in the base game is removed or overridden.
The mod is a lightweight data pack, so it requires no loader and no other mods. It runs on the server, and players join without installing anything on their side. The data pack also leaves the honey bottle recipe untouched for other data packs, so it can be combined with them.
Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, across 7 release versions 1.21.9 – 26.2, under the MIT License. The code is not open source. Snapshot builds are not covered by this card.
