Country Road Creature

by Zcoper

Country Road Creature, a Forge mob for Minecraft 1.20.1, adds a tall, fast humanoid that stalks players through the night.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.19.4 – 1.20.1

What it does

The creature only appears during night shifts and moves through several phases. It first vanishes when a player is nearby and stalks from a distance; in later phases it moves closer, can disguise itself as a Pillager, smashes through blocks, jumps forward, throws players into the air and hurls rocks. Its phase is set with the gamerule setCountryRoadCreaturePhase, which accepts values 0 to 3, and phase 0 leaves the creature inactive.

Its spawning follows the mod's own conditions, which decide where and at what height it can appear, and block breaking is turned off by setting the gamerule mobGriefing to false. The mod requires Geckolib and is created with MCreator. It runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it is published for Forge across 1.19.4 and 1.20.1; the 1.0.0 file for 1.20.1 is the latest, and the license is All rights reserved.

Key features

  1. Night-only stalking

The creature spawns during night, stays at a distance from players and vanishes when one comes close.

  2. Escalating phases

Four phases raise its aggression, from distant stalking to closer pursuit and direct attacks on nearby players.

  3. Disguise and attacks

In later phases it can take the form of a Pillager, then smash blocks, jump, throw players and hurl rocks.

  4. Adjustable phase

A gamerule sets the phase from 0 to 3, so server owners can choose how threatening the creature is.

Trevor's Cryptids is a Forge mob mod for 1.20.1, published with a client and server environment under All rights reserved, so it also needs installing on both sides. The Lookman Reimagined is Forge only for 1.19.2 – 1.20.1, and either side can run it, with neither side needing it. Monsters Everywhere targets 1.20.1 as a Forge build, is client and server, and is released under the MIT-0 license, unlike this mod's All rights reserved license.
