CW - Cosmetic Waypoints lets blocks with a glowing effect act as cosmetic vanilla waypoints, and it is the successor to the MarkerBlocks pack.

What it does

Blocks with something glowing are turned into cosmetic waypoints that use the vanilla waypoint system. The mod is a continuation of the MarkerBlocks data pack, and its planned changes include making a glowing effect possible on a whole block and offering a second, B version. Crafting uses Glow Ink Sac and Glass Block in a crafting grid. Colored Name Teams is required for recoloring the blocks. The server must run the mod, while players may leave it out. It is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and as a data pack, covering 1.20 – 26.2 on 14 release versions, under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

  1. Cosmetic vanilla waypoints

    Glowing blocks show up as waypoints through the vanilla waypoint system, with no extra interface needed.

  2. Crafting recipe

    Waypoint blocks are made in a crafting grid from a glow ink sac, combined with a glass block.

  3. Recoloring with Colored Name Teams

    Blocks can be recolored through the required Colored Name Teams mod.
