Rapture (Corrupted Data) (THIS MOD IS UNDER REMASTER))
Rapture (Corrupted Data) is a Forge horror mod for 1.20.1 that grows more unsettling as a world is played, and it is still under remaster.
What it does
The horror escalates over time. Events are chosen at random, each with its own chance of happening, so a world sees a different sequence of situations from one playthrough to the next. Entities can lock the player's camera and kick or ban the player from the world, and the ban behavior can be switched off through a setting called disableban.
The mod also writes generated .TXT files to the computer, which is part of its slow, ARG-style presentation. A setting called enablesafemode turns that file output off for players who want to avoid it. The mod knows the player's name and uses it within its events. Its approach is heavily inspired by a broken script, and it uses Alpha Minecraft textures.
The mod is published for Forge only, with a single Forge file for 1.20.1 at version 1.0.8, dated 2025-04-29. Credits go to the author 2ram0zipfilecorruptdata, and testing and suggestions came from DktrPhil. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.
