CordMod

by qwhite

CordMod is a Fabric utility that saves named coordinates as markers, sorted by dimension and world, so players can find and manage them later.

FabricClient-side onlyAll rights reserved1.21.4

What it does

Markers are stored per dimension and per world, so the same name can point to different places in the Overworld and the Nether. Each marker records its location together with the world time and dimension it was saved in. Marker data is written to a JSON file inside the world save folder, under saves and cordsmod marks.

Players manage markers through a small set of commands. The cords save command records a new mark at the player's current position under a chosen name, the cords list command shows all saved marks, and the cords remove command deletes a mark by its unique name. The cords help command lists every command the mod provides.

CordMod runs on the client alone, so servers do not need to install it. It is published for Fabric and targets 1.21.4 only. The code is under All rights reserved and is not open source. The latest Fabric file is version 0.0.1, released on 2025-01-30 on the alpha channel.

Key features

  1. Save named marks

The cords save command stores the player's current location under a name of the player's choice.

  2. Separate marks by dimension and world

Marks are kept apart for each dimension and each world, so identical names do not clash across locations.

  3. List saved marks

The cords list command shows every mark saved in the current context.

  4. Remove marks by name

The cords remove command deletes a single mark, identified by its unique name.

Use cases

Keeping base locations

A player can save the coordinates of a shared base, farm or shelter and return to it after travelling elsewhere.

Tracking locations across dimensions

Marks saved in the Nether stay separate from marks saved in the Overworld, which helps when mapping portal routes.

Who it’s for: Players on Fabric 1.21.4 who want named coordinates kept within each world and dimension. Because it is client-side only, it suits single-player and multiplayer clients alike.
