CopyCoords

by AmTurtle

CopyCoords copies the coordinates of the block or player position into the clipboard with a single keypress, so players do not have to type them out by hand.

ForgeClient-side onlyAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 1.20.6

What it does

Pressing B copies the coordinates of the block the player is looking at, and pressing C copies the player's current position. Each copied set is formatted as x y z, ready to paste into a command block, a map note or a chat message anywhere the clipboard reaches.

Map makers and command block users are the audience the author names, along with anyone tired of writing coordinates down manually. The mod is Forge-only and works in single-player and on multiplayer servers, since only the client needs it. It is a light, non-intrusive install that adds two hotkeys and nothing else to the game.

Files are published for Forge across six release versions, 1.20.1 – 1.20.6, with 1.0 for 1.20.6 as the latest file released on 2025-04-04. The mod is licensed under All rights reserved and is not open source, though its source code and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Block coordinates hotkey

Pressing B copies the coordinates of the block under the crosshair to the clipboard.

  2. Player coordinates hotkey

Pressing C copies the player's current x, y and z position to the clipboard.

  3. Pasteable format

The output follows an x y z layout, which lets it go straight into a command or a note without edits.

  4. Lightweight install

The mod adds two keybinds and no other changes, and it runs on the client alone.
