Compress lets players combine stacks of common blocks into compressed versions, one layer at a time, on Fabric for 1.21.1.

What it does

Each compression recipe takes nine regular blocks and produces one compressed block. Compressed blocks can be crafted again from nine of their own kind, so a single material can be stacked through multiple layers. The mod's author notes describe the chain running until a nine-layer compressed block is reached, and cobbled deepslate and end stone are among the materials that gain these recipes.

Installation requires Fabric on the client and server, since the environment is client and server and both sides must run the mod. Compress is published only for Fabric, with a single build covering 1.21.1. The source code and issue tracker are public, and the code is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, so the project is open source.
