Cobblemon Weather Accurate Battles

by Wooba

Cobblemon Weather Accurate Battles lets Minecraft's own weather reach into Cobblemon battles, so rain, snow and sandstorms shape how Pokémon fight.

FabricClient required, server optionalAll rights reserved1.21.1

What it does

Battles take on the weather that is active in the world when they start. Rain and snow in the overworld affect the fight, and sandstorms appear in deserts and badlands. Savannas use harsh sunlight as their default weather. The weather shown during a battle matches the Minecraft weather visually.

Pokémon can also change the weather. Moves and abilities that call up rain, sun, sand or snow set a temporary weather for the battle, and Dynamax moves can call weather effects too. Local effects change only the battle, while the world's global weather is left alone.

The mod requires Cobblemon and Particle Rain. It is a Fabric mod for 1.21.1 only, and it is released under All rights reserved, so the code is not open source. Players must install it, while a server can run without it, since either side can start a battle without the other needing the mod. The author suggests a shader pack for the most vivid visual effects. The effect radius defaults to 32 blocks and can be changed in the config folder.

  3. Temporary battle weather

Weather from moves and abilities lasts only through the battle, then the world's weather returns.

The distance at which local battle effects apply defaults to 32 blocks and can be set in the config folder.

What the author says

Minecraft’s weather now directly affects your battles. If it's raining, snowing, or if theres a sandstorm in the overworld, your battle will reflect that same weather condition. When a Pokémon uses a weather ability or move, it temporarily overrides the current Minecraft weather and uses this mod for the weather…
