Cobblemon Occupied Pokeballs
by m3till
Cobblemon Occupied Pokeballs lets a Pokémon stay in a physical Pokéball placed in the world, where it can be ejected, reclaimed or sent out again.
What it does
A party Pokémon can be stored in a physical Pokéball item that a player holds, puts in a chest or stash, or places on a shelf in the world. Pressing T ejects the selected party Pokémon from the ball, and a Pokémon inside a placed ball stays there until someone claims it. Holding a ball and pressing Shift+T adds its Pokémon back to the party immediately when there is space, and otherwise sends it out with the full throw animation. A brushed Pokéball loses its stored Pokémon information, so placed balls can be left as mystery balls.
The mod needs Cobblemon and Kotlin for Forge, and works with Cloth Config API and Mod Menu for its config button. Jade is optional and shows a placed ball's Pokémon name, level, type, nature, gender and shiny status. Cobblemon Occupied Pokeballs runs on client and server and is published for Fabric and NeoForge for 1.21.1, under the MIT License. The code is open source.
Key features
Ejecting from a ball
Pressing T releases the selected party Pokémon from a caught ball, so the ball can be reused or stored.
Reclaiming and sending out
A held ball can add its Pokémon back to the party when there is space, or send it out into the world.
Floating name labels
Placed balls show the Pokémon's name above them, with a marker for shiny Pokémon, and the label can be toggled in the config.
Item and Jade tooltips
Ball tooltips list the stored Pokémon's name, level, gender, type and nature, and Jade shows the same details for placed balls.

Use cases
Storing a team in the world
Players can place balls on shelves or in chests and bring Pokémon back when needed, without carrying every ball.
Mystery ball displays
Balls brushed with a vanilla brush lose their information, so builders can place balls as mysteries for someone to claim.
Who it’s for: Players who keep caught Pokémon in storage builds, and server owners who want to offer placed Pokéballs to their players.
