Cobblemon: Infinite Rare Candy

by imParadigm

Cobblemon: Infinite Rare Candy lets a player raise a Pokémon's level with a pink rare candy that is never used up, with the mod's own settings deciding how far it goes.

FabricClient and serverMIT License1.21.1

What it does

The pink rare candy works as a repeatable level-up item: it raises the level of the owner's own Pokémon immediately and is not consumed in the process. Players receive it through creative mode, commands or crafting, and it can also appear as a world spawn. Only the owner of a Pokémon can use the candy on it, so other players' Pokémon are protected. The candy respects the player's current level cap and stops at level 100, so it never pushes a Pokémon past either limit.

The mod was inspired by a Pokémon challenge series in which the creator used infinite rare candies to skip grinding and keep the focus on the run. It is aimed at Nuzlocke-style play and at trainers who want to skip repetitive leveling. The candy uses a custom pink texture, and the mod is marked as compatible with Radical Cobblemon Trainers and RCT Mod Compatible. Radical Cobblemon Trainers, based on version 0.17.2 beta, is required for full function.

Installation needs Cobblemon and Fabric API on Fabric for 1.21.1. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Repeatable pink rare candy

The pink rare candy raises a Pokémon's level instantly and is never consumed, so one item can be used again and again.

  2. Owner protection

The candy only works on Pokémon owned by the player who uses it.

  3. Level cap awareness

The candy respects the player's current level cap and will not raise a Pokémon beyond level 100.

  4. Custom candy texture

The item uses a pink candy sprite so it can be told apart from the standard rare candy.
