Classic Combined, an ImXR24 world generation mod for NeoForge, recreates the feel of early Classic and Alpha Minecraft inside a hybrid of older and modern play.
What it does
Classic Combined mixes the style of Classic and Alpha Minecraft with modern features, and it can be added to existing worlds. For new worlds, it starts the player in a custom dimension that replaces the break-world mod it was built around. Blocks and items found in that dimension stay there, and the player does not leave it.
Progression follows a fixed path. A player starts with wood, uses wooden tools to break stone and builds a furnace, then moves to stone tools for coal and copper. Copper tools join the chain, then iron, and gold is found in the Hell biome that resembles the vanilla Nether. Overworld, End and Nether are not reachable in normal survival unless the gamerule is changed, while creative mode can still reach them.
Advancements and recipes help the player progress, and a recipe viewer such as EMI or JEI is required, since recipes are gated behind the Recipe Book. The author recommends the built-in Programmer Art texture pack. Classic Combined runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it is published for NeoForge only, across 1.21.1, 1.21.8 and 26.1.2 under All rights reserved.
