Chunky Friends
Chunky Friends is a Fabric world generation mod that pregenerates chunks automatically while players are offline, in a round-robin schedule.
What it does
Pregeneration tasks start from the last known location of each player. The mod caches each player's last logged-off position and selects players in round-robin order, so no single player's area is favored. Chunks are generated in iterative concentric rings that start small and grow over time, and the maximum generated zone can be limited by choosing how many slices the rings are divided into.
Tasks pause the moment everybody logs off and resume once a player connects again. A player who has not logged in for a set number of hours is removed from the pregeneration pool and re-added when they return. The mod can also run even when players are connected, if the server owner wants that. Configuration uses JSON, a command line interface and a GUI, and it supports both singleplayer and multiplayer.
Installation needs Fabric. The server needs the mod, while players may add it for optional configuration through the GUI. Files are published for Fabric alone, for 26.2, with 1.2.0-26.2 as the latest file, released under the MIT License. The source code is public.
Key features
Round-robin player selection
Each player's last known location is used in turn, which keeps the pregeneration fair across the server.

Chunks generate in growing rings around a center, and the number of slices sets how the zone is divided.
Automatic pausing and resuming
Tasks stop when everyone logs off and continue at the next login, so generation runs while the server is empty.
Inactive player eviction
Players who have not logged in for a set number of hours leave the pool and return to it once they log in again.
JSON, CLI and GUI configuration
Settings can be edited in a JSON file, through a command line interface or in a graphical screen.
