cheattoggle

by qiangwuren

cheattoggle lets players switch cheats on or off in a world that was created without them, and change the difficulty of a Hardcore world.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source26.2 – 26.3

What it does

The mod changes the cheats setting and the difficulty of an existing world, including a Hardcore world. On Minecraft 26.2 and above, Hardcore locks the cheats and difficulty settings by default, and the mod toggles that lock. Without it, the same change would need an NBT editor and direct edits to the save files. The server and every player need the mod installed. Files are published for Fabric only, for 26.2 and 26.3, with 1.0.1 for 26.3 as the latest file under the MIT License, and the source code is public.

Key features

  1. Cheats toggle

Cheats can be turned on or off even in a world that was not created with cheats enabled.

  2. Hardcore difficulty lock

The lock on difficulty changes in Hardcore mode can be enabled or disabled, and difficulty can be set to Peaceful, Normal, Hard or the remaining setting.

  3. Operator items visibility

A setting controls whether the operator items group appears in the Creative inventory.

What the author says

In Minecraft 26.2 and above, Hardcore mode locks cheats and difficulty changes by default – there's no normal way to change them, and you'd have to mess around with an NBT editor. This mod solves that pain point: just type a few commands in-game, no need to exit your world or touch any save files. Toggle cheats…
