Cable Facades
by Thepigcat76
Cable Facades lets players place a facade on pipes and cables so the block keeps its look while hiding the connector underneath.
What it does
Facades can be applied to most cables and pipe blocks in the game. Once a facade is set, the covered block displays the chosen texture, which is useful for building clean, tidy machine rooms. Connected Textures support means facades blend with neighboring blocks, and light-emitting blocks and light obstruction can be set on facades that need it.
Entries can be added by hand in the config file named cable facades common, and any block carrying the cable facades supports facade tag is treated as a valid target. Just Enough Items (JEI) is an optional dependency that adds recipe viewing for the mod's items. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge across five game versions, from 1.18.2 up to 26.1.2, and the code is under the MIT License, which means the mod is not open source.
Key features
Facades for pipes and cables
Most cable and pipe blocks can receive a facade, hiding the connector while the block keeps its surface texture.
Connected Textures support
Facades take part in connected textures, so neighboring facade blocks join into continuous surfaces.
Light-emitting facades
A facade can be set to emit light, so a covered pipe can double as a lamp in a dark room.
Light obstruction control
Facades can be set to block or pass light, so a covered run of pipe can act as a wall or stay transparent.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who build with pipes and cables and want the networks to look finished, and server owners who want a consistent look across machine bases on a shared world.
How it compares
Land's Utilities is open source under the Apache License 2.0 and is NeoForge only, for 1.21 – 26.1.2, with the same client and server environment. BBL Routers Facades is also NeoForge only for 1.21 – 26.1.2 and open source under the MIT License. Bob's Mekanisms is Forge only for 1.19.2, open source under the MIT License, and built around its own machines rather than facades.
