Crowns
by Burn
Crowns lets players on a server form a monarchy, with players swearing fealty to Lords, Lords to Kings, and a successor chosen when a King dies.
What it does
Crowns is a server-side mod that organizes players into a monarchal hierarchy. A player can swear fealty to another player, who then becomes a Lord or Lady. Two or more Lords swearing fealty to a Lord make that person a King or Queen. Each hierarchy level is recorded on the server, so ranks persist as players join and leave.
When a Lord King dies, the event lets the Lord King designate a successor. The successor must be a direct subject of the Lord King. If the designated successor is offline when the succession happens, the mod applies its own fallback rules. Players sworn to a Lord also follow the Lord's succession, so titles pass down the chain rather than resetting.
Crowns requires Fabric API and Cardinal Components API, which both need to be installed on the server alongside it. Clients do not need to install anything, since the environment is server-side only. Files are published for Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.21.1, all in the beta channel, and the mod is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
Key features
Fealty oaths
Players swear fealty to another player through a command, which sets their rank within the hierarchy.
Designated successors
A Lord King can name a successor, who takes the throne when the King dies.
Command-driven ranks
A main command controls the monarchy, so ranks are assigned and adjusted from one place.
Locked helmet slot
Lords and Kings cannot remove the Circlet Crown, which keeps the helmet slot occupied for the title holder.

Use cases
Role-play servers
Server owners running kingdom or court role-play can give players a fixed noble structure without building one by hand.
Survival factions
A group of players can organize a ruling line inside a shared world, with succession rules that carry the title forward.
Who it’s for: Server owners who want a monarchy or noble hierarchy for role-play or faction play on Minecraft 1.21.1 servers. Single-player players gain nothing from it, because the hierarchy is kept on the server.
