BuildsNBarrens is a NeoForge world generation mod that reworks barren landscapes, adding biome features, flora, creatures and presets to vanilla worlds.
What it does
Its additions target the barren aspects of the game: sparse biomes get new features, flora and structures meant to fill empty terrain. Many pieces are revisions of older content the game removed, mixed with newer original ideas, so the result reads as a collection rather than one theme.
Most world generation is written by hand instead of through a generator, and the mod works alongside a range of custom biomes. Because of that hand-written layer, a few conflicts with other mods have been reported. The mod is installed with the NeoForge loader and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it.

Barren biome features
New features are placed in sparse biomes to break up empty terrain and add points of interest.
Custom flora and blocks
Plants and blocks such as a rose cyan flower, a petrified oak and a nether reactor core are added.
World presets
Presets let a new world start with the mod's generation settings already selected.
Structure updates
Existing structures are revised so they match the reworked biomes, with updated textures on several pieces.
