Builder's Void

by detpikachu

Builder's Void adds a Void Pearl that teleports players into a void dimension built for construction, with settings for the dimension's daylight and mob spawning.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient and serverGNU General Public License v3.0 or laterOpen source1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

The mod is built for construction in an empty dimension. A Void Pearl moves a player into it, and the dimension can be configured for eternal daylight and for turning off mob spawning, which suits builds that take a long time. Chat commands cover the common actions, and shorter versions of them are listed in the features.

Builder's Void runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, and the source code and issue tracker are public. The mod requires Balm, Cloth Config API, Fabric API and Yeetus Experimentus, so those must be installed alongside it on the matching loader.

Key features

  1. Void Pearl teleport

A Void Pearl sends the player to the void dimension, where building starts from an empty space.

  2. Dimension settings

Options control the void dimension, such as eternal daylight and disabling mob spawning.

  3. Short chat commands

Commands have short forms, so a player can type bv tp in place of writing out the full teleport command.

Use cases

Long construction projects

Mob spawning can be disabled and daylight kept constant, so a build is not interrupted by the night or by monsters.

Who it’s for: Players who build large structures and want an empty space away from the normal world, and server owners who want to offer a dedicated building area.
