Bucket Replenisher
by itzrealleoo
Bucket Replenisher refills the hand with a full bucket from the inventory after each placement, so players can keep building without digging through slots.
What it does
When a player places a water or lava bucket and the hand is left empty, the mod scans the whole inventory for another full bucket of the same fluid. It moves that bucket into the hand, and the empty bucket goes to the slot the full one came from. The swap happens without opening the inventory, which keeps long placement runs going.
The mod suits building work that uses many buckets, such as filling pools, lakes, rivers and trenches, setting up lava decoration or redstone farms, and terraforming projects. Each placement that empties the hand triggers the swap, and the mod is simple and lightweight. It runs on the client only, so players install it themselves and servers do not need it. Files are published for Fabric only, for four game versions: 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.1.1 and 26.1.2, with 1.0.0 for 26.1.2 as the latest file. The code is released under All rights reserved, so the mod is not open source.
Key features
Automatic bucket swap
A full bucket of the same fluid is taken from anywhere in the inventory and placed in the hand once the last one is used.
Same fluid matching
The mod looks only for a full bucket of the fluid just placed, so water and lava are never mixed up.
Slot-preserving return
The empty bucket is put back in the slot the full bucket came from, so the layout of the inventory stays the same.
No inventory detour
Refilling the hand needs no opened screen, which helps during large placement projects.

What the author says
Auto Bucket Swap Never dig through your inventory for the next water bucket mid-build again. You place water, end up with an empty bucket, open your inventory, drag down the next full bucket, close the inventory — and repeat that for every single block. This mod does it for you.
