Brain is a Fabric optimization mod that disables spawn chunks so that the world loads faster and holds less memory.
What it does
Spawn chunks are a fixed area around the world spawn point that the game keeps loaded at all times. Brain turns that permanent loading off, so a new world starts without preparing that region first and the chunks no longer occupy memory while the player is elsewhere. The change applies on its own once the mod is present, and an optional configuration file lets the player adjust how it behaves.
Brain is built for players who want shorter initial world loading and lower memory use on Minecraft 1.21.5. It is published for Fabric only, in a single release, 1.0 for 1.21.5, and it is open source under the MIT License. The mod is needed in the player's game, and the server may leave it out.
