Bountiful Saplings adds more than a dozen custom fruit trees to the overworld, with saplings that can be upgraded and grown in an orchard.
What it does
The trees differ in shape, height and wood type, and several spawn in biomes that match their look: tall canopy trees in jungles, short and medium trees in savannas and warm zones, and sparse forms in plains and forests. Red and green apples, lemons, citrons, dragon fruit and other fruit bearing trees grow naturally, so exploring a world turns up harvests that vanilla does not offer. Apple pie and other fruit based food are among the crafting results.
Beyond natural generation the mod provides tools for nurturing trees, including custom soils that improve growth, and an entire new dimension built around flourishing gardens. Access to that dimension uses a golden leaf portal frame, activated with a gilded fruit stick, and it has its own ores and grass. Bountiful Saplings runs on client and server and is published for Forge and NeoForge across 7 release versions, 1.20.1 – 1.21.6, under All rights reserved.
