Block Outline Customizer
by Anomz
Block Outline Customizer lets players change the color, opacity and width of the outline drawn around the block they are looking at.
What it does
Vanilla draws a plain black selection outline around the block under the crosshair. With this mod installed, that outline can be recolored using red, green and blue values from 0 to 255 for each channel. An RGB mode cycles the outline through shifting colors at a speed the player sets, and the opacity can be adjusted from fully transparent to fully opaque. The width can also be set, from thin to thick, so the outline stands out more or less.
The mod is a client-side only utility, so the server does not need it and its settings do not change server gameplay. Players can use it in single-player worlds and on multiplayer servers alike. Changes apply immediately, and the chosen preferences are saved automatically, so they carry over between sessions.
Installation requires NeoForge on NeoForge and Fabric on Fabric; the Forge loader is supported as well. Builds cover game versions 1.20.1 – 26.3, with 13 release versions published under the MIT License, which makes the code open source. Source code and an issue tracker are publicly linked for anyone who wants to report problems.

An RGB mode moves the outline through a rainbow of colors continuously, with a speed the player can adjust.
Adjustable opacity
The outline can be made transparent, fully opaque or anywhere between, set with a single slider value.
