Big Globe - Mythic Metals Compatibility is a Fabric datapack that places the Mythic Metals ores inside the Big Globe world generator, so both mods work together.
What it does
Big Globe - Mythic Metals Compatibility is a datapack for servers that run Big Globe and Mythic Metals together. It sets where each Mythic Metals ore generates in a Big Globe world, so the ores appear at depths and in biomes suited to them. Carmot, Mythril, Platinum, Silver and Unobtainium follow their own vertical ranges, while Banglum appears in Dripping Caves and Stormyx follows lava ocean levels. Core rock converts from hot magma, and Midas Gold and Palladium also gain placement rules.
Both Big Globe and Mythic Metals are required dependencies, so both must be installed alongside this datapack. Server owners install it, and players connect with no copy of their own. Files are published for Fabric across 14 release versions, 1.20 – 1.21.6. The latest file is 1.9 for 1.21.6, released on 2025-06-18. The license is Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial 4.0, and the project is not open source.
Key features
Depth-based ore placement
Each Mythic Metals ore is placed within its own vertical band, such as Runite and Starrite between y levels -30 and -400.
Biome-specific ores
Some ores appear only in certain places, such as Banglum in Dripping Caves and Quadrillum under warm biomes in Lush Caves.
Deep ore layers
Osmium and Morkite sit low in the world, with Osmium spawning below y level -400 and Morkite between -100 and -500.
Core conversion
Hot magma and stone within the Core are converted, changing what the deepest layers look like.
