BetterPVE
by delixfreak
BetterPVE adds a task-based progression system, cave encounters with stronger mobs and utility blocks to vanilla survival for Fabric 1.21.10.
What it does
Progression runs through a set of tasks split into several categories. Completing a task pays out PvE Coins, and players collect them slowly as they work through normal survival, so the system builds up over time rather than handing out rewards at once. Open the BetterPVE progression and shop menu with the K key to spend the coins on survival items and resources. The shop is meant to support progression without replacing the usual way of playing.
Instead of adding large custom dungeons, BetterPVE changes natural cave encounters. Mobs grow stronger deeper underground, which makes deep mining and cave exploration more intense, especially at lower world heights. The aim is to give survival players longer-term goals, more reasons to explore and more reasons to fight. Installation requires Fabric API. BetterPVE runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it is released under the MIT License, though the code is not open source. Files are published for Fabric only, for 1.21.10.
Key features
Task-based progression
Tasks in several categories reward PvE Coins for activities such as fighting and exploring underground.
Built-in PvE shop
Coins buy useful survival items and resources from a shop opened with the K key.
Stronger underground mobs
Hostile mobs become more dangerous the deeper a player goes, making caves more demanding.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Survival players who want more structure and rewards than vanilla gives, and server owners who want a PvE layer that keeps the normal gameplay intact.
How it compares
Coin System is server-side only, released under the MIT License, and built for 1.21.11, so it differs from BetterPVE in version and environment. Enhanced Mobs+ is also server-side only and released under the MIT License, covering 1.21 – 1.21.6, so it targets earlier game versions. Questforge is a client and server mod, released under All rights reserved, and covers 1.21.11.
