Bamboo backport
Bamboo backport brings the bamboo wood set from Minecraft 1.20 to older versions, covering blocks, crafting and textures.
What it does
Bamboo backport adds the bamboo wood set introduced with the 1.20 update: planks, stairs, slabs, fences, doors and other bamboo blocks, along with their original textures and crafting recipes. The recipes follow the vanilla pattern, so a bamboo block is crafted the way the game's own wood blocks are. Players who stay on an older release because of a modpack or a preferred game version can use these blocks without upgrading.
The mod is built for building and decoration in survival worlds and on servers. It is lightweight, does not change gameplay performance, and works with standard world generation and with other major modpacks. Because the bamboo set is added as ordinary blocks, it does not replace existing wood types in a world.
Installation needs Forge. The client and the server both need the mod, and it is published for Forge only, with files for 1.17.1, 1.18.2 and 1.19.2. The latest file is Release-1.1-1.19.2-Forge for 1.19.2, released on 2026-07-22. The code and assets are under All rights reserved, so the mod is not open source.
