Automobility
With Automobility, players build cars from parts, then customize them with attachments that add functions to the vehicle.
What it does
Players craft an Auto Mechanic Table and use its screen to make the frame, engine and wheels of a car. An Automobile Assembler then takes those parts and is used to place them until the vehicle is complete. A crowbar breaks a finished vehicle apart again.
Attachments are also crafted at the Auto Mechanic Table and placed on a car to add functions or utility. Crafting table recipes can be viewed in any compatible recipe viewer, while automobile part recipes appear in the Auto Mechanic Table's screen. Vehicle types can be added through data packs and resource packs, and a template example is included.
Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across the 1.18.2 – 1.21.1 range. Fabric API is required, and MidnightControls is an optional companion. The code is open source under the MIT License.
