Apron
Apron is a compatibility layer for Babric that lets mods written for several legacy modding APIs load on Fabric.
What it does
Apron sits between Fabric and a set of older modding APIs from the Beta era. Mods written against Risugami's ModLoader and ModLoaderMP, or against Minecraft Forge, can be loaded through it, with the aim of re-implementing the features those APIs provided. The mod also states that it works with third-party launchers.
Mod Remapping API is required and must be installed alongside Apron. Optional companions include Always More Items, BH Creative, Mod Menu Babric, NyaLib, Spawn Eggs, StationAPI and UniWrench, which add item, menu and library support for players who want them. Apron is open source under the MIT License, and public source code, an issue tracker and a wiki are available.
The mod is built for Babric and covers b1.7.3 only. Either side can run it, and neither needs it. Snapshot builds are published, and the mod was first released on 2022-06-29 and last updated on 2026-06-08.
