Spawn Eggs adds a spawn egg item for mobs in Minecraft Beta b1.7.3, with optional tweaks for placement, egg consumption and a developer sword.

What it does

Players right-click a spawn egg to summon the matching entity. A config option lets the egg spawn mobs in mid-air or at the player's position, or on the block being aimed at. Another option decides whether using an egg consumes it, and a consumption blacklist can exclude particular entities from being consumed.

Three texture sets for the eggs can be switched between: a new one, an old one and a placeholder, alongside the vanilla egg look. Fabric builds also add custom egg colors per entity, localization of egg names, and a creative tab using the Beta Horizons Creative mod. Glass Config API and StationAPI are required, and the mod runs on Fabric, Babric and ModLoader for game version b1.7.3. It is released under the MIT License and is open source, with public source code and an issue tracker.
