by FrostbiteTime

Applied Pneumatics connects the air and pressure systems of PneumaticCraft to Applied Energistics 2 storage networks, with new cells, interfaces and Amadron trades.

What it does

Applied Pneumatics is an add-on that links PneumaticCraft with the Applied Energistics 2 network. Air Storage Cells hold compressed air inside the network, and a portable air tank version lets a player carry an air supply. A Pressure Interface keeps a target pressure while inserting or extracting air from the network, and it follows PneumaticCraft's high-to-low pressure diffusion from the outside. A Temperature Interface draws on network energy and stored air to hold a set temperature, and it follows PneumaticCraft's natural heat diffusion.

The mod requires Applied Energistics 2. It is published for Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. The code is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and the source code and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Air Storage Cells

Cells store compressed air inside the network, and a portable air tank can be carried by a player.

  2. Pressure Interface

Holds a chosen pressure while moving air into and out of the network, following PneumaticCraft's pressure diffusion.

  3. Temperature Interface

Uses network energy and compressed air to keep a set temperature, following PneumaticCraft's heat diffusion.

  4. Two new P2P tunnel types

Air and temperature tunnels distribute values across an area and balance them between connected machines.

  5. Wireless terminal and processing station

A wireless terminal and a processing station let players manage air and pressure from a distance.

  6. Infinite supply trade patterns

Trade patterns can be saved for infinite supply, which supports automated trading on the network.
