Apocalyptic Mod, a Forge mod for 1.20.1 by SimR, adds hostile creatures and new tools for players to fight them with.
What it does
The mod adds living creatures to the game, most of them hostile and infected, with zombies among the new mobs. It also adds tools made from materials similar to vanilla tools. The Apocalyptic Mod adds new mobs and tools; it is a Mobs and Equipment mod, and it runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Only the 1.20.1 game version is supported, with the latest Forge file 0.0.4 dated 2025-05-28 in the alpha channel, under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
Key features
Hostile infected creatures
New living entities, mostly hostile and infected, including several zombie variants that appear in the world.
New blade tools
Blades made from materials like those of vanilla tools, offering more durability than a classic sword and dealing more damage.
Hordes and harder nights
