AntiFreeze
by FeneGra Labs
AntiFreeze stops natural ice formation, so water blocks in cold biomes and during bad weather stay liquid instead of turning to ice.
What it does
AntiFreeze disables the vanilla water freezing mechanic. Water that would normally turn to ice in cold biomes, under snowfall or in colder dimensions stays as water, and the change applies the same way across biomes, weather and time of day without a configuration file to edit. Water-based redstone machines and farms keep working, and crop hydration is left intact.
Water in cold biomes, during bad weather, and at any time of day stops turning into ice, because the mod switches off the vanilla ticks that drive that freezing, so the server skips the work freezing would otherwise cause. It is built to stay lightweight and does not add blocks, items or screens. Survival worlds, creative builds and multiplayer servers that rely on ice-free water can all use it in the same way.
Installation is needed on both sides: the server and every player must run the mod, and it is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. The current build targets 1.19.2 – 26.3 across 27 release versions, and the code is released under the MIT License, although the project is not open source.
Key features
Prevents water freezing
Natural ice formation is stopped, so water blocks remain liquid in every cold biome and weather condition.
Keeps water machines running
Water-based redstone machines and farms that depend on water staying liquid continue to function.
Global effect
The change applies across all biomes, weather conditions and dimensions without extra setup.
Low processing cost
The mod turns off the specific ticks behind freezing rather than adding its own work, keeping overhead minimal.

Use cases
Water farms in cold biomes
Crops and farms that need a constant water supply keep running in snowy or cold regions.
Redstone water machines
Water-based contraptions remain reliable because their water does not freeze during play.
Who it’s for: Players building in cold biomes and server owners who want water to stay liquid everywhere on their world without changing the configuration of each biome.
