Animal Garden - Springhare
Springhare adds a tamable herbivore that spawns in savanna biomes, eats plant food, and digs up buried items for its owner.
What it does
Springhares spawn in savanna biomes. Tamed springhares are herbivores that take plant-based food, and they eat grass-type blocks to regrow them. Eating also heals them, lets them jump higher, and sometimes speeds up plant growth. Its edible food and block lists are set in data files under the tags folders, so server owners can change what it accepts.
A tamed springhare sleeps during the day and stays active at night. It can dig up items, usually within five to ten minutes, with about an 80 percent chance of finding one. The random item list is also a data file. Block searching works in a similar way for a tamed springhare: it sniffs out nearby blocks worth noticing, including ones buried underground within a short distance, and if its owner stands close by, it emits a loud squeak to flag a rare find like emerald, diamond, nether quartz or amethyst. The search can be used once every 30 seconds, and the searched block list is a data file too.
Spawn settings can be changed through biome tag and biome modifier folders in a resource pack. On Fabric, some settings such as weight and minimum or maximum group size are edited in the config file. The mod needs Aquarius Libs installed, and it runs on client and server.

What the author says
This mod adds another useful tamable critter to the savanna biomes, the Springhare! They are herbivorous, so they need plant based items for taming.
