Android Optimizer
Android Optimizer is a NeoForge client mod that applies performance tuning when Minecraft runs on ARM64 Android devices, such as through PojavLauncher or Amethyst.
What it does
On startup the mod checks whether the game is running in an ARM64 Android environment. When that check succeeds, it turns on optimizations meant for mobile hardware and their memory limits. On other systems nothing changes, so a desktop install is unaffected.
Optional predefined profiles target common Snapdragon and other mobile chipsets. Each profile balances rendering and distance frame rates for its chip. The mod is client-side only, so servers run without it and players install it on their own device. Gains depend on the device, the Android version and the modpack in use, and they can differ widely.
The author suggests pairing it with performance mods like ModernFix and FerriteCore. The mod is published for NeoForge 1.21.1 only, is open source under the MIT License, and its latest file is 1.0.5 for 1.21.1, dated 2026-06-01 on the beta channel.
Key features
ARM64 Android detection
The mod identifies when the game runs on an ARM64 Android environment and enables optimizations only in that case.
Mobile-specific optimizations
Tailored changes address the memory management constraints of mobile SoCs on Android.
SoC-targeted profiles
Optional predefined configurations cover Snapdragon and other mobile chipsets, balancing render and distance frame rates.
Recommended pairings
The author suggests running it with performance mods such as ModernFix and FerriteCore for additional gains.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Playing on Android through a launcher
Players who run Minecraft on an Android phone or tablet through PojavLauncher or Amethyst can install the mod on the device.
Who it’s for: Players running Minecraft Java Edition on ARM64 Android devices, and modpack makers who want mobile-specific tuning for those players.
How it compares
ModernFix is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, runs on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and is published for 1.16.4 – 26.1.2 with a client or server optional environment. FerriteCore is open source under the MIT License, supports Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.16.5 – 26.3, and is also client or server optional. Android Optimizer is limited to NeoForge and 1.21.1, and it is client-side only.
