Ancient Golems

Ancient Golems adds golem variants, bosses, items and new structures to Forge 1.20.1, with several rewards that come from defeating its guardians.

What it does

The mod adds mobs, bosses, items and world structures. Some guardians are found in a forest biome, in a grave guarded by a figure, and near a carriage carrying loot in the overworld. Other structures include an ice spike biome, a Molten Forge area, an End structure called Ender Shrine, and a fortress called Wrought Fortress, which a player can locate using an explorer map crafted from a pumpkin.

Ancient golems are built by holding an Origin Scroll and right-clicking a pumpkin, and an ancient Iron Golem is stronger than the standard version. Several bosses drop reforged weapons, gems and a dagger in the lightning theme. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Files are published for Forge 1.20.1 only, with 1.1.7 as the latest file.

    Golems can be upgraded with scrolls found in dungeons and structures, and a chest can store items inside a golem.

  2. Boss encounters

    Several bosses guard structures and drop gems, a sword fragment and a lightning-based reward when defeated.

  3. Timed structure challenge

    Activating a challenge item starts a 20-minute limit, after which the player must reach the structure position.

  4. Ender and fortress structures

    New structures in the End and in a fortress add exploration targets beyond the overworld.
