All The Commands(API)

by prizolaadam

All The Commands(API) is a Forge library that exposes more than 35 commands and a Java API for building cinematic combat effects into PvP mods.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1

What it does

The library collects combat-focused effects under one API: camera shake, screen flashes, colored vignettes, black cinematic bars, full-view tint, large centered text, boss-intro technique callouts and a top-right countdown timer with cooldowns that match clocks. Modders can call these from their own code, and players can trigger many of them through in-game commands, without writing any code.

Color formatting is handled by a dedicated command that accepts simple color names such as red or gold, hex codes, and ARGB integers. The API is published for Forge 1.20.1 only, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need the library. Files are released under All rights reserved, so the code is not open source.

Key features

  1. Camera shake and impact flashes

Shakes the player's camera and flashes the screen briefly to mark hits, impacts and major moments in a fight.

  2. Cinematic framing

Adds black bars at the top and bottom of the view, plus dark or colored edges that fade toward the center.

  3. Centered text and callouts

Displays large styled centered text, technique callouts and boss introductions in the middle of the screen.

  4. Timers and cooldowns

Shows a countdown timer in the top-right corner, with cooldowns that match in-game clocks.

  5. Color formatting command

A command takes a color as a name, hex code or ARGB integer, so text and effects can be colored without code.

Use cases

PvP servers

Server owners can give players combat feedback such as hit shakes, cooldown timers and boss-style callouts during fights.

Library for other mods

Modders can call the Java API to add cinematic effects to their own combat mods instead of building them from scratch.

Who it’s for: Server owners running PvP or combat content on Forge 1.20.1, and modders who want ready-made cinematic effects in their own mods.

Questions

Does All The Commands(API) need to be installed on the server?

Yes. Servers that run it need every player to install it too.

Which loader and version does All The Commands(API) support?

It is published for Forge only, and the single version available is 1.20.1.

Can players use the effects without a modded client?

No. The effects are rendered on the client, so players need the library installed to see them.
