Day Counter
by AntrolGaming
Day Counter tracks the in-game days of a world, with a calendar block and item, day-based rewards and a configurable date system for Forge and NeoForge.
What it does
Day Counter counts the days a world has passed and keeps a server day count alongside each player's own count. The count can be shown as an overlay, and new day announcements can appear as a title, subtitle, chat line or action bar. A calendar block and a calendar item display the current date, and the item's lore is available in later builds. Rewards can be tied to specific days, and a date system adds named dates from a later release. Week day names are supported as well, from the 3.1 and 3.2 builds.
Adding days is done with the /daycounter add command, which raises either the server count or a chosen player's count. The mod needs Hud Texts from version 3.4 onward, and that library supplies the overlay text and the variables Day Counter exposes to it. Day Counter runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge, across 12 release versions, with the range 1.16.5 – 26.1.2, under a custom license that is not open source.

Use cases
Server day tracking
Server owners keep a shared day count and grant extra days with the /daycounter add command.
Solo progression
Single-player worlds use the calendar and day-based rewards as a sense of time passing.
Who it’s for: Players and server owners who want a visible count of in-game days, with overlay text and rewards built around it.
How it compares
Counter Day is Forge and NeoForge, versions 1.20.1 – 1.21.1, under All rights reserved and not open source; it also runs on client and server. Timekeeper (Calendar) covers 1.20.1 – 1.21.8 on the same loaders, under the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike 4.0 license, and is not open source. Day Counter instead offers a calendar block and day-based rewards.
