Advancement Recipes
by huuue
Advancement Recipes ties vanilla crafting to progress, so that certain recipes open only after a chosen advancement is earned.
What it does
Through a datapack, the mod locks many vanilla recipes behind advancement-based questlines. Tier equipment such as stone and copper tools becomes craftable only once the matching questline has been completed, while other recipes, decorative blocks for example, need just one specific advancement. Six questlines are included, and each can be finished in sequence.
Advancement difficulty varies from step to step, which pushes players to explore different parts of the game before their crafting options expand. The questline itself is visible in game through the advancement screen. The mod is aimed at survival worlds and Hardcore runs, where progress is the main way forward.
The server must run the mod, while players may join without it, though the client can add it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 26.3, with 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2 and 26.2 also covered; game versions span 1.21.11 – 26.3. The code is released under the MIT License and is not open source.
