Advancement Enhancement

by GrassyTrams

Advancement Enhancement reorganises the vanilla advancement tabs and adds new advancements that sit alongside the originals, so progress is grouped into clearer sections.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltServer required, client optionalApache License 2.0Open source1.21 – 1.21.5

What it does

The Adventure tab is split into three parts, Adventure, Combat and Villager, and the Husbandry tab is split in half, with a separate tab for making friends with animals that is mostly food. Several advancements are moved into the tab where their subject fits better, and most progression paths go a little deeper without becoming tedious.

The server must run the mod, while players may add it so the tabs show on their own screen. Advancement Enhancement is open source under the Apache License 2.0 and is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with a data pack option. Files cover 1.21 and 1.21.5, and the latest build is 2.5+mod for 1.21.5, released 2025-03-28. Source code and an issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Split adventure tab

The Adventure tab is divided into Adventure, Combat and Villager tabs, so related advancements are easier to find.

  2. Separate animal tab

Making friends with animals moves to its own tab, which holds mostly food-related advancements.

  3. New vanilla-adjacent advancements

A set of added advancements extends the vanilla progression without leaving the existing framework.

  4. Relocated advancements

Several advancements are moved to the tab that better fits their theme, such as Heavy Metal and Hot Topic.
