Abandoned Urban remaster
by berezka
Abandoned Urban remaster is a world generation mod for Fabric and Forge that places custom urban ruins into 1.20.1 worlds.
What it does
The remaster carries over everything the original Abandoned Urban mod contains, and adds support for several utilities from Berezka's Library. Those utilities cover a custom structure type and a custom structure placement type, so the ruins are generated through the library rather than hand-placed. Seven custom-built structures are included, shaped to look long abandoned and to be explored, and they sit alongside vanilla terrain without clashing with it.
The modern style of the structures suits post-apocalyptic modpacks in particular. Berezka plans to add more high quality structures to the mod over time. The code was produced with McCreator. Installation runs on client and server together, so the server and every player need the mod. Builds are published for Fabric and Forge, for 1.20.1 only, under the MIT License, and the project is not open source.
Key features
Seven urban structures
Seven custom-built structures are generated in the world, each built to look long abandoned and worth exploring.
Vanilla-friendly placement
The structures blend with vanilla terrain rather than replace it, which keeps generated worlds intact.
Library-based generation
Custom structure types and placement types from Berezka's Library drive how the ruins are placed in a world.
Post-apocalyptic fit
The modern style of the ruins works with post-apocalyptic modpacks that want abandoned cities on the map.
