What it does

Each night passes and the forest grows more aggressive, with mobs becoming stronger and visibility dropping as mysterious events begin. Resources are scarce, so players must plan their moves, craft carefully and manage hunger, health and sanity to last until the end.

The mod is built around atmospheric horror. Sound, movement and shadow are used to make the wilderness feel dangerous, and its custom mobs and eerie sounds bring unexpected encounters. Installation needs Forge for 1.20.1, and the mod runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. The license is All rights reserved, so the mod is not open source.

Key features

  1. Progressive night difficulty

Difficulty climbs with every night survived, so later nights are harder than the first.

  2. Limited-visibility forest

A dark forest with reduced visibility keeps players uncertain about what is nearby.

  3. Custom mobs and eerie sounds

Custom creatures and unsettling audio create unexpected encounters throughout the forest.

  4. Scarce resources

Hunger, health and sanity must be managed while resources stay limited, which pushes careful crafting.

Use cases

Hardcore survival runs

Players who want a long, tense survival challenge can work through all 99 nights in a single world.

Horror-themed playthroughs

The atmosphere of sound, movement and shadow suits players who prefer horror pacing over open exploration.

Who it’s for: Players who enjoy survival-focused gameplay with high tension, and horror fans who want a forest that grows darker over time. Server owners may also run it for shared hardcore sessions.
